For those of you who grew up in other parts of this country (or other countries, like me!), are new to the area or have settled in and not tried some of these foods, Chef Eric is going to give you a taste of what it was like growing up in rural North Carolina.

Our menu will consist of the following:

Appetizers such as Turkey dogs "all the way" (mustard, chili, slaw, onions); Stone Ground Grits w/choice of local fried livermush or country style sausage.

Main dishes such as Pork Shoulder BBQ with Eastern or Lexington style sauce; Brunswick Stew.

Sides of white cole slaw; chunky mustard based potato salad; fried okra strips; sweet corn bread.

Desserts such as Lemon Chess pie; Sundrop Cake or Cheerwine Cake.

Eric will provide the dishes and there will be standard NC drinks such as Sweet Iced Tea, Cheerwine and RC Cola as well.  BYOB if you wish.  NC wines and beer can be found at local stores.
