This event is for those of you thinking about doing Mountaineering trips with Tito next summer. This event will cover the basics of mountaineering. We will learn & practice Ice axe arrest, Crevasse rescue, self rescue, rest stepping, pressure breathing, Roped glacier travell, and knots.
Itin: Fri Feb 19th: Check in at Skyline Inn. Room rates with Choa discount 60$ for a single room and $70 for double.
$25 for anyone that wants to bring a sleeping bag and crash out on the floor of the lounge.

Sat Feb 6th- Bacon, egg, waffle breakfast
- Carpool to Julian Price Park hike to the Viaduct
- On the way to the Viaduct demonstrate and practice pressure breathing, rest stepping, discuss pace, snow travel, hydration. Find area suitable to practice ice axe arrest, cramponing, glacier travel with ropes.
- set up camp and go over snow camping
Sun Feb 7th: cravasse rescue at viaduct
hike out and go eat dinner/lunch
Bring if available: Gore-Tex Shell pants & jacket, Ice axe, Crampons, Mountaineering boots, Pulleys, ascenders
Other items to bring: Harness, 3 ten ft lengths of 6 or 7 mil prussic cord preferably different colors, 1 ten ft piece of 1 inch webbing
